Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Wharton! They had a stunning wedding day at the Rusty Pelican on the last Saturday of 2017. It was the most gorgeous Saturday too! It was cool without being cold and the sun came out of the soft clouds at the most perfect times.
The day began Taylor getting glammed up with her girls! As it should. I loved her hair style SO much! Thanks to the perfect winter weather she confidently rocked her hair down in luscious curls with a bold middle part. It worked gorgeously with her Hayley Paige skirt and corset. She was a VISION! As she walked out onto the 14th floor balcony to see her groom TJ the sun came out and shined on their first kiss of the day. Swoon!
If you didn’t know already I am a huge fan of the first look and it was essential in particular for Taylor and TJ. Their ceremony was just before sunset so we were able to take the time to capture all of their bridal party formals out int he daylight before the ceremony. Then with the last and most gorgeous rays of right after the I Do’s we were able to focus on just the newlyweds. YAS! This was such a fun group and they looked smoking’ in their tuxes and champagne silk. I’m sure they appreciated being able to go right to the cocktail hour too! The first look rocks for so many reasons, WIN.
And wow did having the late ceremony pay off too! The yummy golden light for their vows and THAT KISS was insane!! I’m obsessed!! It was the most perfect setting for this pair They shared laughter and tears remembering how it all began back in high school and dreaming of their future family. Being a part of a couple’s first day as their own family is something I absolutely cherish.
After the epic sunset it was time to see their EPIC reception room! The new Mr. & Mrs. were blown away when they got a sneak peek! I especially love TJ’s adorable reaction! It was something out of a fairytale. Flowers hung down from the ceiling and their gorgeous table arrangements were subtly dipped in gold. SO gorgeous!
It didn’t take long for everyone to get out on that beautiful dance floor either! Taylor warned me of her family’s love for the oldie and goodie “Paradise by the dashboard lights” by Meatloaf and she was not kidding! The guys and gals took their sides and they each belted it out! The whole thing! It was hilarious! Then once the lasers and fog machine started going it was a full on party!
Much love to the awesome vendors, cannot wait to see their video Daren!!
