Last Christmas I had the pleasure of shooting a 90th Surprise Birthday Party in my parents community in Mira Bay. It was a fantastic party and I got know the Ellison family pretty well. I had the honor of capturing beautiful portraits of Chris, Linda, Liz, and little Christina. Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mother, and daughter! It was so cool! However, we all got some very sad news a few weeks ago. Liz decided to take Christina to the Dr. to get tested for a gluten allergy since she herself was affected. Luckily the tests showed she wasn't allergic, but what they did show was cancer. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia to be exact. Liz sought out support and inspiration from her many facebook friends and I myself was shocked at the news. I could picture Christina's giant smile and rambunctious nature as if I had photographed her yesterday. I just had to do something to help. Liz spread the word about a charity her friends and family had set up in her name, The Christina Marie Charity. I immediately donated and started brainstorming how I could help in a bigger way. I had already been planning on doing a few Holiday Mini Sessions this year and I knew having one in Mira Bay would be a great idea! I decided to donate 100% of all proceeds directly to Christina. If you are in the Rivereview, Apollo Beach, or Mira Bay area and are looking for a professional photographer to capture your families memories this year PLEASE sign up for a slot! I will set up in front of the Mira Bay Club House from 2-6 pm on Sunday November 3rd. It's a great spot with beautiful scenery, a perfect backdrop for family portraits! I will be ready with a few props and an iPad to take your donation directly via credit card. Please book your spot by contacting me via FB, phone, or e-mail: 813-758-9407, email@example.com. I am asking for a minimum donation of $100 in exchange for the 30 minute session, 5 digital images and a timeline cover design. Custom Holiday cards using your images are also available for $2.50 each.
I will also be hosting Mini Sessions in Lakeland and at Crescent Lake in St. Pete. Check out my Facebook page for more info next week!
