Elegant Navy Armature Works Wedding

WeddingsAshlee HamonComment

Brittany & Andrew are hitched! They had an incredible day all over downtown Tampa. And when I say all over i mean all over. We were at Rocky Point, south Tampa, downtown, the UT campus, and on the river at Armature Works. It was a whirlwind of elegance and fun!

Starting the day off in a gorgeous suite overlooking the Bay set the tone for style. That view! Ans those glorious clouds! I was so happy to have a cool and softly lit day for all of our galavanting. Plus that nice soft light was so dreamy through those giant windows! It made for gorgeous portraits of Brittany getting into her stunning gown. Did you see all of those buttons? And the perfect amount of glitter and detail int he back? Like I said stunning, and her eyes could stop your heart too! Gorgeous!

The guys had a totally different kind of morning at their home in the heart of South Tampa. Jason caught up with them before they headed off to the church, beers and coolers in hand :) We were all nervous about how the Gasparilla Children’s parade would influence the logistics but everyone made it to the church on time. Woo!

What a church! Sacred Heart is the grandest and most captivating sanctuary in Tampa. It was the perfect setting for Andrew and Brittany to vow their love and lives to each other. I personally was trying so hard to keep my cool when their little nephew started acting out the gyms while snacking on crackers and then decided to give me a run for my money with his daddy’s nikon. So cute!

As soon as the ceremony was over Andrew was ready to get the party started! We covered all of the family formals and then piled into the limos to play with the bridal party over at UT. Shout out to Marissa Moss and her gorgeous couple that day! They had their reception in the other space at Armature, how cool is that?! The best part was that the space is so massive you would have never known there were 2 weddings. Yay Tampa!

It was such a treat to have as much time as we needed for fun and formal portraits of those nearest and dearest to the newlyweds. And the gorgeous weather let us shoot everywhere! Such a dream! I also loved that we carried on the brick theme over at the Reception. The new Theatre room at Armature is so cool! It’s the perfect blend of raw and industrial plus polished and elegant. Did you see how cute their escort table was?! Brittany was so excited about all of the little gold animals and name tags. Definitely a first for me and I loved it!

The dip! I got it! Phew! Brittany and Andrew had been practicing their first dance for months and they nailed it! Their fox trot was amazing and they used every inch of the dance floor. Everyone was grinning and cheering! If you are thinking about doing something special for your entrance or first dance I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s such a wonderful moment and people will remember it so vividly.

We got the party started right away after a delicious dinner. This group was READY! Oh and I got to hug and catch up with one of my favorite past couples the Trela’s! Pete and Alison got married 2 years ago and have the most adorable baby boy with the same infectious grin his parents share.

It was such a wonderful day and I am so happy for these two! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Powell!
